Busy times for kart heroine Lanz

Double African karting champion Fabienne Lanz is keen to continue her stunning form at Saturday 10 September’s sixth round Northern Regions karting races at Vereeniging.

Johannesburg karting heroine and reigning Northern Regions Senior Max champion Fabienne won both the Senior Max and DD2 classes at the recent African Karting Open following her Senior victory in the SA National Max finals in July, is keen to continue her winning form in the regionals and she’s again racing two karts at the quick Vaal track.

“Next weekend’s race meeting is an interesting one,” Fabienne who will also race the Rotax Max World Finals in Italy in October explained. “I will do both Senior Max and DD2 because I’m leading the Northern Regions championship in Senior and I am keen to race DD2 in preparation for the World Finals and also in support of Ivana, who wants to drive DD2 this weekend.”

Fabienne also runs a team of young karters including fellow lady kart hero Ivana Cetinich, who was runner up to Lanz in the 2015 Northern Regions Senior Max championship. “Its going to be a busy weekend — especially in the Rok classes where our kids will be preparing for the Rok Open at Vereeniging in a few weeks time,” Fabienne concluded. “I have a whole fleet of kids racing, which is great - I really thrive on creating little mini mes!”
