With just nine Investchem MSA4 South African National championship points between them, Aqil Alibha and Mikel Bezuidenhout take their 2026 title struggle to Cape Town when the sixth round National Extreme Festival visits the Killarney International Raceway on Saturday 19 September. 

Former British Formula 4 racer Alibhai took a double win in his Kokoro MSA4 last time out to triple his championship advantage. Which leaves it all for young challenger and 2025 championship runner up, Bezuidenhout now to do in his Corsa Dei Gemelli car. Until then, there was literally nothing to split the two. So Bezuidenhout will be more than keen to take a double win back.

It’s even closer for third with just two points between three drivers as Metal Used ATT driver Renzo Ribeiro now leads Durbanite, Shrien Naidoo’s Production X MSA4 and Karabo Malemela’s KMFT Morita car in that ever changing space from third to fifth. The three of them are also all chasing their first wins of the season, but do they have what it takes to actually topple the runaway leaders?

A little further back, quick Red Dot Vantage rookie Guido Bidoli and the capable Kent Swartz continue in their tussle for sixth, while Apex Cordset Kokoro lass Anastasia Gerasis has established herself on top of her fight for eighth with Red Dot Vantage lad Liam Polome and Kokoro Reach for a Dream supporter Chase Haskins. 

Two more Investchem MSA4 ladies, Gianna Pascoal’s 76 Legacy WOrr car, and Investchem’s Simphiwe Mohlahlo continue to do battle with 76 Legacy WOrr lad Aadam Kajee, and rookies, Corsa Dei Gemelli lad Wianko Fourie, Ndzalo Khoza’s Horizon Dynamics MSA4 and rookie Lulama Ngobeni.

Wings and slicks Investchem MSA4 will be joined by a few old school Formula Ford Kents on Saturday. Cape Town fans can look forward to the likes of veterans Ian Schofield, Allen Meyer and others duking it out there.
