Rookie Christopher Tait is keen to improve on his recent great 30th Anniversary Astron Energy Polo Cup form, while Volkswagen Motorsport SATC SupaCup teammate Rory Atkinson is keen on a similar step as the team returns to Killarney for the penultimate round National Extreme Festival on Saturday 19 September.

“We enjoyed a positive outing last time out,” Volkswagen Head of Motorsport Mike Rowe points out. “Second overall in both the SATC SupaCup and the 30th Anniversary Astron Energy Polo Cup was a job well done. That leaves a little room to improve on both sides of the garage with Rory second in the SupaCup chase and Chris fast climbing the Polo Cup leaderboard. So best of luck to both drivers in Cape Town.”

“We had a great start in SATC SupaCup, but the season became tougher as it progressed,” Volkswagen SupaPolo rookie Rory Atkinson admits. “We made a step in the right direction last time out, so the objective is to build on that at Killarney. I have a great team behind me and all we need to make it happen, so here’s to a great weekend in the Cape.”

Christopher Tait has enjoyed a positive recent run following an unlucky start to his season. “It took a bit of time to get it all running smoothly,” Christopher explains. “But we turned it around and second in the last two rounds only leaves me keener than ever to go one better. Killarney is the perfect place to make it happen, so come on team, let’s do this!”
