National Motocross and Cross Country for Team Tork Craft
Team Tork Craft is limbering up for a double season of dirtbike racing as it supports the new Tork Craft Husqvarna Junior Team in National Motocross, and the Sigmafix Tork Craft Yamaha outfit in the South African Cross Country Motorcycle championship.
“We are delighted to confirm Tork Craft’s involvement in two leading South African dirtbike teams for 2026,” Ryan Hunt, marketing manager of the leading tool brand and himself a motocross master confirmed. “On the motocross side, we have teamed up with legendary motocrosser Tony Riddell from Ride Train Race’s new Tork Craft Husqvarna Junior Team.
“And for Cross Country we step up as title sponsor to Harry Grobler’s accomplished Sigmafix Tork Craft Yamaha in the National and GXCC Gauteng Cross Country series. We’re most excited to not only be supporting some of South Africa’s finest dirtbike talent in both disciplines, but to also be involved in building future talent in both Motocross and Cross Country.”
The all-new Tork Craft Husqvarna Junior Team selected its riders purely on the merit following their standout performances in 2025. Reigning 65cc African, National, and regional 65 cc champion Rayden Woolls steps up to ride a Tork Craft Husqvarna in the 85 cc class for 2026, starting at this weekend’s Terra Topia National.
Second in both the National and regional Ladies Motocross championships last year, Mackenzie Bam is looking to shift to the top step of the podium on her new Tork Craft Husqvarna. And 2025 85 cc shooting star Kabelo Ledwaba moves up to the High School class aboard a Tork Craft Racing Husqvarna125 for 2026.
Moving over to Cross Country, 65 cc star Ruald Potgieter started 2026 by winning the 85 cc GXCC Gauteng regionals last weekend as he prepares for the National season ahead aboard his Sigmafix Tork Craft Yamaha. New recruit Ulrich Sterley’s Sigmafix Tork Craft Yamaha also won the 65 cc class and High School prince Murray Smith made a winning start aboard his Sigmafix Tork Craft Yamaha YZ 125.
Maddy Malan is back to fly the Sigmafix Tork Craft flag in open class OR1 aboard his Yamaha YZ450FX for 2026. Tyron Beverley also returns aboard his OR3 Sigmafix Tork Craft Yamaha YZ250FX and Senior men GXCC winner last weekend Marco Cocci and Gerhard Vorster, and Master Warrick van Schalkwyk will race Sigmafix Tork Craft Yamaha YZ450FXs.
“Team Tork Craft is looking forward to a thrilling 2026 season,” Ryan Hunt concludes. All the very best to Tony and Harry and their teams for an incredible season in the saddle!”
