A whole new era unfolds for South African single seater racing when Investchem MSA4 races for the first time at Zwartkops Raceway in Pretoria Saturday. The series may initially have been delayed by teething challenges following the monster effort to build the cars, but fourteen proudly South African Investchem MSA4 machines will now take to the track in anger for the first time at the Extreme Festival presented by Coca-Cola on 21 June.

A far safer, stronger, and considerably more advanced car, the contemporary new Investchem MSA4 racer is powered by a new turbocharged Volkswagen engine. Racing on Dunlop slick tyres, the WCT Engineering-developed machine is designed to race competitively at an attractive budget. A cracking, competitive and representative field is now ready to race at Zwartkops.

With reigning final Investchem Formula 1600 champion Jagger Robertson racing South African Touring Cars for 2025, his former rival KC Ensor-Smith’s African Heating Investchem MSA4, Ewan Holtzhausen’s Total Plastics machine and Ndzalo Khoza MakaselaAir car form a strong Brian Kruger Racing attack. 

DAW Racing will also have a most compelling three-car MSA4 effort ready for Zwartkops. Shrien Naidoo’s Production X entry will race alongside Corsa Dei Gemilli duo, Mikel Bezuidenhout back for a second wings and slicks season, and karting graduate Kian Spies. Investchem Racing has experienced racer Alex Vos’ DV Building Supplies MSA4 backed by newcomer Simphiwe Mohlahlo in a Chemical Logistics version.

Peter Jacquet Racing trio, Karabo Malemela’s KMFT Morita MSA4 is another favourite alongside Liam Polome’s Red Dot Vantage version and Namibian newcomer Adriaan Nel’s Central Cycles Namibia Bauers Autowerkstat entry. Jordan Moodley steps up to the 76 Legacy entry Renzo Ribeiro’s Metal Used Spares ATT MSA4 is run by CDV Racing, while young lady racers, Hannah Lee Daniel is hoping to debut this weekend and Anastasia Gerasis debuts her BKR Apex Cordset MSA4.

It’s a busy three-race first weekend for Investchem MSA4 with practice on Friday before qualifying early Saturday. The races are scheduled for 11h10, 13h20 and 15h55, as part of a full Zwartkops national race bill.
