Championship on the line for Gunner

Bryanston lad Oliver Gunner heads to his favourite Laserfiche Raceway in Vereeniging with his steady gaze on nothing less than wresting the 2017 Northern Regions Senior Max karting title Saturday 18 November. Saint Stithian's scholar Gunner has had a positive season and will arrive at the Vaal two points clear of Daniel Duminy in second in the title chase, with Joshua Dias just a handful of points ahead on the table.

“Going into the last round of the championship is extremely exciting,” d'Amico Attorneys Tony Kart driver Oliver confessed. “Any mistake from any of us could potentially cost the championship, so I just need to stay focused. One positive is that I feel confident going into this round as we are usually very quick at Vereeniging, but we have been putting in the hours at the gym and where possible at the track between exams and I’d say we are ready.

“Josh, Dan and I have had a a few great tight Senior Max battles this year, as the close championship log shows, but Saturday will see who wins the war - may the best man win!”
