Summarize

Jonathan was born on the 14th of February 1998 in Cape Town, South Africa, his father Chris was a successful racing driver so Jonathan’s passion for cars and racing all started through his dad. "Chris was competing in a race at the Killarney Race Track and one of his old engineers asked why I had not yet started racing?" - Jonathan adds.

This sparked Jonathan’s interest in Motorsport and after months of trying to convince his father to let him race, Jonathan finally broke through and so it all began...

"Jonathan firmly believes that hard work and determination wins races. This has been instilled in him by my mentor and friend Ralph Odendaal. To date Jonathan’s best racing memory would be winning the first qualifying race at the ROK World Finals in 2015. International competition is always tough because you are competing against the best in the world." says Chris.

Jonathan also believes that the key to success is to have the right mindset because it can be very overwhelming.

In 2016 - Jonathan competed in the ADAC Formula 4 Series with the long-term aim to work his way up the Motorsport ladder to the pinnacle, Formula 1.

In 2017 - Jonathan is currently leading the F4 UAE Championship by 49 points and has won every race entered in the UAE. He will now go onto his second season of the ADAC German Formula 4 Series.
