Investchem MSA4 breaks away from the National circus to join the Regional Extreme Festival powered by Coca-Cola at Red Star this Saturday 4 October. This weekend makes up for a round lost earlier in the year and it’s a crucial one, as the championship heads towards a straight fight between the top two. 

KC Ensor-Smith dominated the first three rounds, only missing one reverse grid heat win when he started at the back in his African Heating Investchem machine. Mikel Bezuidenhout took advantage of that to win that race, but there was nothing to take advantage of last time out as Bezuidenhout romped to a double victory aboard his Cosmonet Huawei Corse di Gemelli MSA4. 

All of which leaves Ensor-Smith in an eight-point championship lead over Bezuidenhout as they head to Red Star, where there’s no sure thing that either will have it their own way. A tight and demanding track, it’s an opportunity for the rest to pounce too. Not least among them, Durbanite Shrien Naidoo’s Production X Naidoo, KMFT Morita lad Karabo Malemela, Renzo Ribeiro’s Metal Used Spares entry, and Red Dot Vanage racer Liam Polome. 

Namibian Adriaan Nel is another top contender in his Central Cycles MSA4 and never ignore racing ladies Anastasia Gerasis’ Apex Cordset car and Investchem lass Simphiwe Mohlahlo. Or Ndazlo Khosa’s MakaselaAir car, Jorden Moodley and Red Dot Vantage racer Kian Spies. Add young an interesting newcomer in karter Kian Spies this weekend too. The MSA4s will be joined by a few old school Formula Ford Kents including Investchem trio Ian Schofiels, Rick Morris, and Allen Meyer and Magnificent Paint & Hardware veteran Ron van Weely.

Investchem MSA4 joins a full Regional Extreme Festival presented by Coca-Cola program at Red Star, backed by live music and entertainment, stalls, and all the expected good food and refreshments on Saturday 4 October. Find Red Star heading east out of Gauteng just off exit 485 on the N12 freeway.
