Volkswagen Motorsport heads to the iconic East London Grand Prix Circuit intent on Jonathan Mogotsi repeating his double victory there last year. Teammate Jason Loosemore is keen to continue his positive momentum, while Volkswagen Motorsport Rookie Judd Bertholdt chasing a maiden Astron Energy Polo Cup victory after strong outings in the past few rounds.

“Jonathan Mogotsi was unstoppable in East London last year, so the plan is for more of the same this season,“ Volkswagen Head of Motorsport Mike Rowe explains. “Jason Loosemore has made decent progress of late, so we look forward to continuing that momentum, and between you and I, our rookie Judd Bertholdt is now more than ready for his first Astron Energy Polo Cup race victory!”

“East London was where we basically scored the blow that later delivered us the 2024 SATC SupaCup championship,” Jonathan Mogotsi points out. “I love the place, it’s fast, daunting, takes no prisoners and makes for incredible racing and a special challenge. We’re ready for another strong outing down there… Bring it on!!”

SupaCup rookie and reigning Astron Energy Polo Cup champion Jason Loosemore continued to move up the SupaCup grid at Zwartkops. “I  plan to keep advancing at the grand Prix Circuit on Saturday,” Jason admits. “East London is a daunting circuit, but what’s life without a challenge?”

Volkswagen Motorsport Rookie Cup champion Judd Bertholdt has thoroughly impressed so far in the Astron Energy Polo Cup season: “I have now done it all except win a race overall in Polo Cup, and where better to do that than at the daunting East London Grand Prix Circuit,” Bertholdt suggested. “I have the car and the team behind me, so now it’s just up to me!”
