Husqvarna chasing two SA MX crowns

Q4 Fuels Husqvarna Racing heads to the final round 2019 South African National Motocross Championship at Terra Topia north of Johannesburg with two national titles on the table Saturday 26 October. Cape Town 11 year-old Neil van der Vyver travels to Gauteng in a healthy primary school 65cc championship lead, while Pietermaritzburg star Maddy Malan arrives in Jozi in a wild three-man open class MX1 title fight.

“We have had a great season and I have led the championship chase from the start of the season." Neil van der Vyver explained. “All we need do to wrap it up at Terra Topia is to finish sixth in one of the two motos. “With a little luck I can do that in the first race and then finish the season without any worries. “Q4 Fuels Husqvarna Racing has been behind me throughout an incredible season and I simply cannot wait to reward the team with that #1 plate!"

“This is going to be one of those weekends,” Maddy Malan admitted. “We head to Terra Topia with five points in it between Tristan Purdon and me and Lloyd Vercuiel right behind us too — it’s been an incredible season and this fight is now going down to the last corner of the final moto of the season and I can’t wait for that! “I could not do this without a special team behind me — huge thanks to the incredible Q4 Fuels Husqvarna squad — this one’s going down to the wire!"

“Terra Topia will be a huge weekend for Q4 Fuels Husqvarna Racing” Husqvarna Motorcycles South Africa brand manager Fred Fensham concluded. “Neil and Maddy have been on point all season and they will arrive at the final round of the year in strong title contention — go get them lads!"
