Mokoena Quietly Getting on With GT4 Business

Kyalami lad Kwanda Mokoena is revelling in the challenge of GT racing, if his past weekend’s Aldo Scribante G+H Extreme Supercar performance was anything to go by. Mokoena put his Audi R8 GT4 seventh on the grid before bringing it home fifth in race 1 and seventh in the second heat. He topped the GT4 Class C tables throughout.

That is however only part of the story, as former karting champion Kwanda explains. “I set my personal best Aldo Scribante lap time in the Class C Amandla Coal MJR Audi R8 GT4 LMS this weekend. “My 1 minute 02.35 second tour was just eight tenths off the pace of the bigger GT3 class winning Lamborghini Huracan and quicker than both Porsche 911 GT3 class B cars.

“I am delighted with my pace and that I am getting quicker as I go and as I grow in confidence. “I could not do this without Marius Jackson and the MJR team, so huge thanks to them, to my folks and my sponsors including Amandla Coal, and to my fans and supporters. “I’m loving  it!”

Next up for Kwanda is the Zwartkops Extreme Festival Saturday 11 June, where the G+H Extreme Supercars including young Mokoena will be the star attraction.
