Pepson Plastics Husqvarna rider William Oosthuizen made it three SA National Enduro Championship E1 200cc class wins in a row as he consolidated his title advantage victory in Saturday’s Live Lesotho Enduro, while teammates Matthew Green and Brett Swanepoel both moved up their E1 and open class E2 title ladders with fourth places on Saturday.

“2019 has been a perfect year for me so far,” ecstatic Mossel Bay WP rider William Oosthuizen admitted. “Thanks again to my Pepson Plastics team for a stunning Husqvarna as usual — I had a great run in spite of tough conditions and the challenges of racing at high altitude. 

“It was not easy as Lloyd Kirk continues to keep me honest and was second again on Saturday, just 42 seconds adrift and he's only six points behind in the title chase with three seconds in a row too so this thing is far from over!”

Nottingham Road KZN lad Matthew Green was also more than happy with fourth in E1 on Saturday: “Lesotho was as tough as can be expected, but my Pepson Plastics Husqvarna ran like a dream and I was able to make up another position in the title chase, so my fight back continues, one race at a time.”

Brett Swanepoel meanwhile continued his 2019 comeback with another solid result in E2, coming in fourth to climb to third in the open class championship race behind Kyle Flanagan and Scott Bouverie. “I’m making steady progress and I am happy with that,” the Salt Rock KZN rider admitted. “I have finished all three national enduros so far this season and it’s good to be up to third in the championship and reward my Pepson Plastics Husqvarna team for all its effort and support."

“That was another great weekend at work for Pepson Plastics Husqvarna Racing,” Husqvarna South Africa Motorcycles brand manager Fred Fensham concluded. “Our mountain king William has become the 2019 winning machine, while Matthew and William keep on progressing up their championship charts too - well done to the entire team!"
