Pepper keen to progress in Belgium

South Africa’s W Series heroine, Tasmin Pepper heads to Zolder in Belgium for the second round of motorsport’s Woman’s World Championship keen on an easier weekend over the 18-19 May weekend. Pepper, who delivered a star performance in the series’ first-ever race at Hockenheim in Germany last week to storm from sixteenth on the grid to eighth on a tough and rain interrupted weekend, hopes the going will be a little easier in Belgium.

“I am so looking forward to Zolder,” Tasmin admitted. “With a little luck, I can qualify where I need to, in Belgium and from there I hope to progress further up the field. “Zolder appears to be a technical circuit with a few fast sections too — it’s my first time there, so, I'll be doing a good many more laps on the simulator to prepare. “Still, I can’t wait to get back over there!"

Fans can follow the Zolder action live through streaming and timing services on the wseries.com website. The weekend commences with practice on Friday before qualifying 09h25 Saturday morning and the race at 16h10 Saturday afternoon.
W Series runs as part of the DTM German Touring Car roadshow.
