Pepson Plastics Husqvarna Racing is gearing up for a full attack on the 2019 South African National Enduro Championship, starting with the tough WFO New Hanover Enduro Saturday 23 March in a three-bike attack comprising 2018 riders William Oosthuizen and Matt Green joined by the returning Brett Swanepoel.

Oosthuizen is 100% ready for the New Hannover race and is under no illusions about the task ahead: “KwaZulu Natal has a long reputation for delivering the toughest enduros of all and we expect no different this weekend,” Oosthuizen who scored even points to top the SA E2 championship last year, only to take second on a count-back of wins, explained.

 “WFO stands for Wound Fully Open and equipped with my Pepson Plastics Husqvarna FE 250 and backed by the best team in the business I am ready to do just that to bring home the gold. “We have a full year of racing ahead and I can’t wait to put my best foot forward — bring it on!”

Former SA Junior Enduro champion Matt Green enjoyed a brilliant learning year with the team last year and he is looking forward to stepping up his game with a full season’s experience at home and overseas now under his belt. “Last year was my first season in the open class and we used it to learn and grow, so this year it’s time to up my game. 

“I suffered a wrist injury over the off season, but that is now behind me and I have been practicing and readying my Pepson Plastics Husqvarna TE 300i for 2019. “New Hanover is also more or less a home race for me so there’s a little extra pressure, although that’s also an advantage I am ready to take.”

Perhaps the most exciting news about PepsonPlastics Husqvarna’s 2019 SA Enduro attack is that of the return of star rider Brett Swanepoel to the team following a lengthy recuperation. “I have been out of action since September 2017 and I just cannot wait to get back on my Husqvarna TE 300i in race conditions,” Brett admitted. “It has been a very long and hard journey, but I have put a lot of effort into my comeback, my team has been behind me all the way. "It is time — roll on New Hannover!”
