Campos brothers, Keegan and Jason will have some welcome backstop when they return to Cape Town for the penultimate round of the Falken Polo Cup at Killarney Saturday 28 September when their mentor, SA’s W Series heroine Tasmin Pepper returns to the series. The brothers are however still in a race against time to get their cars back in shape following a rough weekend last time out in East London.

“Headline news is that Tasmin will be racing this weekend and that means we will have some proper data to work with in the team” Campos Transport Polo pilot Keegan explained. “But the chase is on to get ready for Killarney — my car was only out of the panel shop and being prepped late last week and we will be limited to a controlled shake-down once at Killarney, but the focus is now on consolidating my championship third and only two proper points scoring races will do.”

 

“The team has an even bigger job to get my Turn1 Insurance Polo sorted,” elder brother Jason added. “We only had it back in time for the weekend — we had to work flat out though to have the car ready to load to the transporter to travel down to the Cape. “I'm a little nervous ahead of the weekend — between a rock and a hard place after a tough previous Cape Town round and an equally trying last race at East London, but I am ready to put my best foot forward and score big.”

Tasmin Pepper meanwhile cannot wait to get back into Polo Cup this weekend. “A seat became available and we snapped it up — it’s going to be great to be back and I can't wait to race,” 2018 Polo Cup Masters champion Tasmin confirmed. “I really enjoy Killarney and we have had good results there and I’m looking forward to working with Keegan and Jason to get them right up front too — this is going to be a great weekend!"
